Albums that sound bizarre at first I've come across a handful of albums that sounded bizarre and weird to me when I listened to them the first time.
And bizarre & weird are two words I almost never lump together with Prince. Because I don't see him that way. Or I just have become accustomed to his type of weirdness. The Gold Experience 
Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic are the three that sounded weird to be at first. And u guys know how much I love TGE. And has also become one of my favorites (after chiseling away a few tracks that threw off the vibe).
I'll have 2 get back about Rave, cuz I've only heard it the one time. But I'll see what happens. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

For me, back in the day it was "AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY".

Such a strange and obscure album when I 1st heard it but DAMN was it and still is GREAT! I had a certain expectation of that album when I picked it up. I knew it wasn't going to be WOW, like overall average... but it kept getting better. I had no idea I'd like "Pop Life" as much as I do. And Temptation... which I probably wouldn't have gotten into a few months b4 cuz of the content. My mom thought that "Condition of the Heart" sounded weird... but I think its a beautiful track. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

i know that bizarre feeling. I had that with the GB album and with an album from another artist that I like (Tiziano Ferro- does ne1 know him?). But I love the GB album now, its so much fun and sweet to listen to. But it was only because of one song and I didn't really get it. Whenever I get that  feeling, its usually only b/c I don't get something or that I'm interpreting the lyrics wrong."So shall it be written, so shall it be sung..."  | |

ATWIAD didn't hit me as bizarre, the album or the track. It was free-spirited and fun to me. I didn't expect 2 much from the album... but it ended up surprising me after it got to America & Pop Life... its not one of my favorite favorites... but it's great to fall back and chill with every now and then had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. haha... I was kinda thinking that at the start of TGE... especially Endorphinmachine, that threw me off completely. But I'm a lot more into the song now than I was b4. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |
