Earlier this year, there was a documentary on UK TV called "Battle of the Bands".

One round was "Prince vs Michael Jackson".

Viewers phone in and vote. Michael Jackson won it really quickly.

I wonder if the result would be different if they did it now, considering how Prince-crazy London has become with the O2 gigs!

i dont think they should even compare the two because michael is nothing like prince and just because michael has more fanatic people to call for his cause doesnt mean hes a winner.it is the quality of your fans not the quantity.the result may not change now because i think prince fans are too mature to participate in a contest that means nothing.

Videos! yeah Mike will get P. Michael Jackson is the King Of Videos. Most of P's videos R of him performing the song, Mike was making mini movies & remixing songs. P might have been more influential musically but MJ had video on lock down.

michael jackson will always win because his music is much more comercial while i think that prince was always an anderground artisst who had luck to be pop at some period.

I am not at all a MJ fan , but I do agree as far as music videos he is more creative.As far as anything else goes Prince is The Man.

i just finished reading the book "Purple Rein" and it said something about MJ wanting 2 B called the king of pop. I"m not sure if Prince himself said it or someone that was with him, said, U have 2 B a Prince B 4 ur a King... !!!!! God, I luv Prince! Hes the pimp!
