Prince is his own man and he may take in ideas but he does have control of what he will say, do, and wear... So what ever he feels like styling, he'll style and what ever he feels like music he will...

He can't help it that he's beautiful. Just another gift God decided to bless him with...I love fashion and I love how fun Prince's clothes and look changed every year...I think that stuff isn't shallow because Prince is so deep of a person..I just think expressing yourself through fashion is fun so Prince is also alot of fun!

Well, how does one go about creating an image or a style?

Like, in other words, if I wanted to give myself a new look tomorrow, how would I do that?

I know that is a broad question, but I'll explain a little more in a minute. I just wanted to see how you respond to that question.

It's amazing how he expresses himself thru fashion, a metro-sexual if I ever saw one. And he always makes high heels look great.

The progression of his image just seems 2 go hand-in-hand with his music and it adds a little something extra, especially when u see his videos.

I'm taking on a bigger load this semester than when I first starting getting to know Prince, so I'm half-afraid I won't have as much time for him as I used to.

But now that I'm making the transition back into the college life, I've got less to distract me from enjoying his work fully. There's nothing at the back of my mind like b4.
So when I was listening to D&P earlier, he did give me some of that genuine happiness for a while. I just don't wanna stop getting to know him, cuz there's so much I don't know.

The key is just trying to figure out when I can give him that one-hour a day 2 devote 2 listening 2 his music. Then keeping him off my mind the rest of the time so I can focus on the important stuff (academics).

I'll put in my :2cents:. I'm not so much into the "do" he wore during the D&P era... but his clothing was definitely very unique, unlike anything b4 it and it just fits the music so right.

Prince sold an image right from the very beginning. He worked on his look with as much care and attention as he did his music. He even had his own wardrobe department at Paisley Park. That's dedication.

He's not as all out circus-y as something like KISS, and not as earnest as someone like, say, Ryan Adams, or John Mayer, but somewhere in between--with plenty of make-up and flashes of vulnerability.

If listening to Prince can help open your eyes to the kind of life you want, assists you in growing as a person and helps you in finding out what it is that is important in your life than it is not time wasted..just stay focused on what ever it is you are doing and make sure that is what you really want. If you want a furfilling life make sure the life you are leading is what you want to do. There is a reason that you are seeking out Prince's music...use him and his example with finding out what you like about him and why and the person you want to grow into and where your talents lay and how you want to exist here.
