Do you really think that wrote over 500 songs that never got to be officially released?

huh, i think the NPG operator is talking about 500 songs in the vault. Written since 78, i think in a interview that was done in 1986, prince said that he had 300 songs completed and unreleased. Just think of how many he has by now

but if we're talking now... definitely 1,000's... but he's writing so much that he doesn't have to go into the vault and count every single one, even if he wanted to.

He's not the type who likes to go back in time and reminisnce.

My mind was overflowing with the possibility that he wrote over 500 songs that he wanted to release, but WB would only let him do so much. Thus the whole "Slave" period.

I think a week or two ago, I developed this "6th sense" where I could pretty much read his mind and figure out what he really meant by his songs. It started with the album and I moved onto Come... but when I got to TGE, I was feeding off too much anger and bitterness in Dolphin & Eye Hate U... so since I'd kinda lost the sight.

But somewhere during that time, I thought "I wonder if he even knew what he was doing half the time"... so he supposedly become a "slave" to the music in his mind.

prince's music is not to hard to decipher. He usaly says how/what he was felling at the time

some advice..dont try to analize it all so quick, over time..u'll understand it all

I've got a couple of songs from D&P that have me stumped... but that's half the fun.
The analyzing usually comes naturally 2 me, but when it doesnt, I don't try to force it too much. Sooner or later, he gets me to understand where he's coming from.
