I know this has probably already been discussed here but I just get tired of still reading this morning online articles from famous newspapers still talking about Prince in these terms "The diminutive singer, who is playing a series of concerts in London at the 02 Arena". Do they not realize that sentences like these completely contradict themselves???

It's really pissing me off now. I mean, back in 2004 when he came out with Musicology, I could understand a little why they would talk like this, but after 3 successful new albums, the highest-grossing world tour, a bunch of high profile performances, the induction in the Hall of Fame, the sold out shows in Las Vegas and London, the marketing stunts... Those journalists are so ridiculous, it's like they don't have any vocabulary left in them. They still make fun of that whole TAFKAP period, even though it's been over for 7 years now. I understand that it's not easy to keep up with everything Prince does if you're not necessarily a Prince fan, but the fact that they keep talking about him like this makes me wonder what is happening to good journalism.

Prince, not only has become popular again, but he is without a doubt the most successful living artist today. He makes more money than all the Justin, Usher, Chris combined. His shows are way above everyone else's. He is also the most innovative artist out there so why not give him a break and actually report on what is truly happening in the music industry! Radio airplay don't mean shit anymore. MTV don't mean shit either. Charts mean shit. Why hasn't the word got out after 3 years damnit!!!???

troll some one is sounding off like Kanye whistle

umm...haha actually you are right I misunderstood the meaning of it. I thought it meant the same in French as in "less relevant". I apologize for this. But i stand by the fact that journalists are not reporting about him in the highest terms the should be.

How do you want them to refer to him? As God, creator and lord of all things, music? They call him a legend all the time; that's more than enough.
