I saw Purple Reign in Vegas at the Boardwalk in 2001. Absolutely amazing. I remember me and my brother walking along the strip and seeing a bit of a tacky poster outside advertising the show. So we went in and asked and was told that it was in the "lobby" and was free (just had to buy a drink). So we thought that it was going to be laughably bad but were absolutely gobsmacked at the show. Jason is indeed incredible and gorgeous too (not as gorgeous as Prince of course but pretty close). The whole band are lovely people. After that first experience we went again! So glad to hear Purple Reign are still reigning in Vegas. Definitely worth going to see. Of all the things I saw/experienced during our holiday there in Vegas in October 2001, seeing Purple Reign was without a doubt the highlight of my trip.

I saw them at the Boardwalk. It's a great show.
I wouldn't go to Vegas just for them though. I'm firmly planted in denial

I wouldn't go to Vegas just for them though. Me neither but if I ever found myself in Vegas again I wouldn't go home without seeing them again. I'm just looking at the website now. Seems like they've come a long way since I saw them in 2001. I wish every success to them.

I do try to see them any time I'm in Vegas, unless I'm seeing Prince himself.
It has been harder to see them since they tore down The Boardwalk. I'm firmly planted in denial

Well they were great in 2001 and seemed quite low key at that time. I was quite saddened actually to see such great talent giving free shows in a downmarket hotel lobby bar. So I am naturally really happy to see how far they've come since then. And you can be sure that if I'm ever lucky enough to go to Vegas again, I'll be sure to see the Purple Reign. I was just thinking, I wonder if Prince knows about them, or has even seen them.....

I heard that he popped in on them and was said to be impressed. This has been before they left Boardwalk and before he had 3121 here.

If they are still going on whenever I get back to Vegas, I will check them out. They have to be good if they've been working strong since 2001. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Jason and Purple Reign are incredible. I've mentioned it before on here, but he is very kind and genuine. He introduced me to Patrica Kotero (Apollonia, and I had a picture taken with her. Everytime I've gone back to Vegas, he seems to remember me and my tattoo. My wife and I love their act and go there at least once when we are in town. Going back in January, and will def. see them!

If you had an open mind and check something out before you make judgemental statements, you might broaden your horizons!!Jason and his entire show is in honor of and paying tribute to Prince. He is very friendly and humble, and is very much an admirer and fan of the man who has given him so much inspiration.I must say that he does his show with pride and dignity, and anyone who witnesses his show would not leave with a negative attitude, but instead, fully entertained!!!!!

I went in there with that same thought. I was ready to laugh my ass off, but he was actually quite good. He was imitating Prince. He did it well and it was REALLY nice to hear the music played and sung well live. If the real Prince isn't around it's nice to hear. It didn't completely "scratch the itch" but it was fun. I'm firmly planted in denial
