What MJ Thought of PR Hi Orgers!
Earlier today, a friend and I were on an MJ website contributing to a thread that highlighted some of the funniest things that Michael Jackson has ever said or done. My friend and I were trying to come up with a quote to add and we started thumbing through a biography called "Michael Jackson: The Magic and The Madness" and in the index there was something marked about "Purple Rain" The movie. The passage said that Michael went to a screening of the movie somewhere in California shortly after it was released. Michael showed up about fifteen minutes late (we figured that was around the time Apple came out her top) and left about ten minutes before it was over (right after Prince sand the title track) Michael was quoted as saying this about the film: "It was alright. The music was okay, but Prince looked mean, and I didn't like the way he treated women" (obviously of the scene where The Kid knocks the taste out of Apple's mouth) My friend and I thought it was wildly funny that he said that, and did post it on the MJ site and I wanted to share it with the Princers. Just sharing. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

That biography ("Magic and the madness") is well worth reading though if you are like me and find yourselves getting very down or wound up reading the papers. I find J Randy Taraborelli is very neutral compared to some biographers who are plainly fan-crazed. Some of the stuff MJ has supposedly said about Madonna and what Madonna has supposedly said about MJ makes me grin.
However it is all hearsay though re Madonna, MJ had actually said it to the author in an interview.

It is indeed shite and I think that's what makes it so funny to read...in a weird sort of way.

I'd much rather suffer more back pain than go through another MJ/Prince thread that ultimately has no relevance to our world. Love Ya'll but I gotta go. Jeux Sans Frontiers

I heard that when asked if he thought that Prince might've been influenced by him,
Michael responded, " The Kid is not might son." And yet, now one of MJ's kids is named Prince. So, y'know.... go figger.....

I remember a long time ago hearing the same thing about MJ and Purple Rain. He thought P looked mean.
Do you believe the story about MJ being at 3121 and P playing the bass in front of MJ's face? Prime aka The Kid
"I need u to dance, I need u to strip I need u to shake Ur lil' ass n hips I need u to grind like Ur working for tips And give me what I need while we listen to PRINCE"

His son is named after Prince Albert Scruse, Michael Jackson's grandfather on his mother's side. (I heard Michael say it in an interview right after his son was born. I think it was Barabara Walters he spoke to.) I love a Man who:

Michael had been keeping his eye on P since 1979. His brothers and sisters too. Michael felt P was someone who gave him a serious run for his money. He was bothered that women liked P and saw him as a sex symbol. Which he knew women did not see himself that way. For P to then go on and actually star in his own motion picture, ...to say Michael was a tad bit envious is an understatement. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

That's not true, before his face got butchered, MJ had throngs of female fans who thought he was sexy as hell (I was one of them, with my 8-year-old grown self) For P to then go on and actually star in his own motion picture, ...to say Michael was a tad bit envious is an understatement.
He might've been like "darn, this upstart from Minnesota beat me to it" Only the stupid are STILL Prince fans.

Michael was disappointed with Purple Rain - he had initially been really looking forward to seeing it as he had heard the main character was called 'The Kid', but was gutted when he discovered 'The Kid' was actually an adult. He much preferred the sequel, which actually did have a kid in it....
Tevins Round and Round is the song he plays as he's plying his boys with Jesus Juice . [Edited 8/31/07 3:41am]
