Curious, What CDs Bookend Your Prince Collection

I have my CD collection arranged alphabetically, so my large Prince collection is prefaced by the Singles by the Pretenders (Elvis just missed). After Planet Earth (okay, alphabetical by artist, but chronologically within artist), comed Love Junk , the first offering by Canadian artist the Pursuit of Happiness. (they kick ass, recall TPOH's I'm an Adult Now)

I used to do the alphabetical thing, but my Prince collection is just way too big now that I have it all in a separate purple cabinet. But if you look through my ipod, the artists that 'bookend' Prince are Parliament and Radiohead (hmmm... I need to find some more artists that start with 'P' lol).

I have them arranged chronologically so, you'll see For You at one end (I didn't bother counting 94 East stuff), Planet Earth at the other; and 20 years worth of aweosme music in between cool

Oh, the only other CDs I have are the Guns n' Roses and Michael Jackson discographies (which are arranged in order after the Prince discography). I need to branch out more confused but prince covers like, every musical style in existence, so at least I've got some variety in there right?

I keep all my CDs in A-Z order, as I've got so many of them (if I didn't, I'd lose
track of what I've got). The CDs immediatetely before and after my Prince CDs
are: Primal Scream's Dirty Hits and The Prodigy Experience.

Well mine are all in alphabetical order, so preceeding Prince is Primus' Antipop album and followed by Red Hot Chili Peppers' Mother's Milk

For You to Planet Earth rather predictably. I keep my CDs in alphabetical order of artists, then chronological within artist. But a handful of artists are kept separately at the top, so Prince is bookended by Aeriel (Kate Bush) and Brilliant Trees (David Sylvian) as it happens.

My CD' seem to move...They've also been known to change cases...I have a few locations for my collection. Currently I have Gloria Estefan Unwrapped at Top left and Moments, Bottom Right....Framing Prince are Maxi Priest Bonafide, and Shai-Blackface.

I could never just own ONE artist. Even how versatile Prince is. I could never ever do without Kate Bush, Tori Amos, The Beatles, Joy Division, The Cure, The Knife etc etc.

my CDs are mixed everywhere- that way- if anyone touches my stuff, I only have 2 replace a few albums rather than a whole collection. but for the most part, my CDs are organized by artist first, then their albums are in chronological order. if a band member releases a solo album, thats at the end of the collection- regardless of release date.

1st: "Lounden Up Now" by !!! (yeah, there's a band called "!!!")
Last: "Billious Paths" by µ-Zic (yeah, there's a guy called "µ-Zic")

Last b4 Prince: "Prêt-A-Porter" soundtrack by various artists.
1st after Prince: "Pump Up The Volume" soundtrack by various artists.
Prince is surrounded by original soundtracks, that's funny...

In all, 1200 albums or so.

No Public Enemy on CD?

I think Portishead came right before Portrait... although it is hard to say since there are about another thousand I haven't sorted into the main shelves. No space!

My Prince CDs are in a separate CD holder than my other CDs. They start with "For You" are in order, by year, to the "Planet Earth" CD.

I always kept my vinyl records in order, not by artist, but by year. It's hard to do that now with CDs because of all the greatest hits compilations and various artist compilations. On CDs in general, I usually keep them together by artist by I still try to keep them in order by year if I can. For instance, the first CD in my collection is Jr. Walker and Allstars and the last one is Jamiroqua's last CD.
Andy is a four letter word.
