Lets predict the future album...

I think Prince has always gone in twos and then released something completely different, look below at the releases..

For You/Prince _> Dirty Mind
Controversy/1999 -> Purple Rain
ATWIAD/Parade -> SOTT
Lovesexy/Black -> Batman
Graffiti Bridge/Diamonds and Pearls -> Symbol
The 1990's spawned Musicology/3121

Therefore I beleive PE is the start of a new generation of music. Its likely that we will get another album like PE, followed by an album that is completely different. I think PE is the start of something new. Look at his band, its fairly new, he tends to keep bands for about 2 records. So my prediction is that the next album will sound similar to PE, followed by something more funky or experimental.

Although, it could well be that we are seeing this..

Musicology/3121 - > PE

If this is true, then this could be good news as the next record will be completely different to PE - heres hoping!!

let's just hope that the 3121.com retail store won't be dead in the water
and we'll get some more npgmc style releases through that outlet soon.

I like your theory vinx98. Let's hope that this is merely a lengthy warm up session to something HUGE ala SOTT. Musicology was good, 3121 was aiight, and PE is great so...

Prince about a symphony "with flutes"--> this could be an interesting follow-up 2 Kamasutra (or possibly something completely different).

As long as he comes back 2 something more xperimental than Musico3121earth...

Its just my opinion.. I see Musicol/3121 as reaction to a poor decade where interest in him waned. So he stepped it up a notch on those 2 albums to show he still meant business.
