The British Press r out in force again!Not content with reviewing the music, the concerts, or the new album-they turn their attention on the man.
This is a full word for word account of the "article" in the Scottish Daily Mirror.

PRINCE CHARMLESS.
POP WIERDO HITS TOWN WITH SOME OUTRAGEOUS DEMANDS

His reputation for wierdness is rivalled only by the bizarre antics of Michael Jackson.
And on his latest trip to the UK we found out even more about the increasingly strange world of Prince.
The tiny pop icon-who's now reverted to using his old name-was in town for the playback of his latest album,One Night Alone...Live,at The Collection in South Kensington,London.
And he arrived with a huge list of requirements for organisers to arrange.
The teeny 44-year old-who was wearing a dark suit and four inch heels-also warned staff that if one unauthorised camera flash went off, he would up and leave.
Our source told us:"Prince always likes to be in control".
"He'll usually send his bodyguards to check a venue that he'll be going to first and he'll find out about everything-from the cocktail list to the canapes".
"On some occasions he's visited the venue before the party to make sure the aura is right for his guests".
"He likes to know what is happening.Being a vegan he always wants vegetarian food and lives to have all his friends in one area".
But at the party this week he had even more requests for the organisers.
Our source told us: "He asked that all of the CCTV cameras in and around the building be covered with black socks so that they couldn't film him".
"He doesn't like being watched when he's just chilling with his pals".
"He also hates swearing and carried a swear box with him all evening".
"If anyone in his presence swore then he would make them pay a fine".
But we think that Prince-formally known as squiggle-may have been less than happy with the calibre of celebrities at his party.
He was promised the likes of Martine McCutcheon,Pink and James Gooding.
In reality all he got were Neil and Christine Hamilton,Alicia Douvall,Ebony and Lady Isabella Hervey-and they werent even in the VIP section.But luckily he managed to cheer himself up by going for dinner at Nadine's restaurant in Soho with his close friend,model Lusy Mans and 10 pals.
Over dinner the conversation was a little more relaxed,with Prince opening up to his friends about his strict dietary requirements.
He told the dinner guests:"I eat nothing with a face and as far as I'm concerned milk is for calves".
Could this man be any more profound?
Just three weeks ago the star was dining at the same restaurant when a photographer managed to snap him at his table.
Not content to just leave the place,he then made a dash for his private jet and flew straight back to New York.
But despite his wierdness,Prince's sell-out UK gigs which started last night are sure to be some of the high-lights of the year.
And its good to hear that he's still a little peculiar.


Now, is it me, or have u ever heard a newspaper story that is PURELY based on gossip, and plain old bullshit!!???
No mention of his gigs till the second last paragraph.
I thought the IK press had calmed down on him-mind u, it IS a shit paper!

Listen , he doesn't sound weird to me at all except for the Swear box which I don't believe for a moment. It's all cool with him and I totally agree and I think he's so in charge and runs a tight ship. He'd be stupid not to. I find that extremely Sexy in him being the boss and in control. He's one Smart Man. His Suits are wonderful. He's Gorgeous and Handsome. I think he's just the Best! He's such a Turn-on.!

Hey let's face it Prince is strange BUT anyone with extreme talent and creativity is going to be a little strange. That is all part of a genius's makeup that is what drives a genius creativity. Otherwise Prince would be average people like myself and all of you who come to this site.

Ever look at a tv show and all these supposedly "cool" people, and wonder, how drab, plain, contrived they really are.

Anyway, the British press has always been rather abrasive. That's their style. Better than brown-nose reporting we get here in the US.

But then again, I'm noticing a lot of misinformation on Prince from a new generation of media kids. Like they use a reference book and go "Oh yeah, we have to make fun of him and always refer to his height and heels" to get the article written.

I take Offense that they call him POP's WEIRDO! That's Mean and Inflamatory. But it's a Sensationalist Newspaper so you gotta expect that kind of Headline.

Regarding his so-called "comments" on his dietary requiremnets, It sounds very much like the comments Paul and Linda MacCartney made a few years ago reagrding vegetarianism!!
I think they are snipping comments from others 2 apply 2 Prince!!

this report is a joke the man likes things done his own way myself i see nothing wrong in that.back 2 the same old crap the uk tabloids love nothing more than bad news.athough have read some good reviews so its not all gloom.

UK tabloids are NOTORIOUS for this kind of BS, and it's embarassing to me, because my parents grew up in the UK...BUT these "journalists" are so young, and do NOT care about the facts...they are a SHAM...It's no wonder Prince rarely does interviews, and he will be OK. He is used to this crap...THE MUSIC WILL PREVAIL...YOU GO PRINCE!!! I AM 100% BEHIND YOU!!!

OK, did I miss something here? Except for the swear box the requests didn't seem to be that weird. I've heard much stranger stories from credible sources.

Look, Prince can't be anything but nuts. He's had a successful musical career right out of high school so he's never had to really live like a "normal" person for the past 25 years. And when your life is like that, it's virtually impossible not to lose touch with reality.
So he's in his own little world & gets all uptight when something doesn't go the way he wants it to.
Prince will try to convince you that he is a completely different person from his 'Purple Rain' days. In some ways he is (like the swearing, sexual lyrics, etc.) & in other ways (like being a primadonna) he's the same old Prince!

I just accept it, love him for his music & I go about my daily business.
