Prince 'Love Symbol' corresponds to the words of Jesus Christ, 'Male & Female one and the same' is the same as combining the male and female symbol together. Ambigrams that read when turned upside down, were designed of the key words "one/two', 'male/female', inside/outside' and 'above/below', so that they are literally 'one and the same'. This design is also inspired by an experience I once had of 'Unity consciousness', where I felt one with everything and everyone, a feeling of unconditional love as well as an overwhelming sense of peace, that we are all God, and that I had woken up... I had not taken any drugs by the way. A feeling not unlike going to a Prince concert. The feeling lasted for three days and was triggered by placing a sodalite crystal that someone asked me to place on my third eye, and then a feeling of energy flowing down from my head to my heart an then hands, I had a mild and pleasant headache if there is such a thing for the three days. Thank you Anon, the words are from the Gospel of Thomas, which is a collection of traditional sayings (Logoi), of Jesus. Two versions of the gospel were discovered, and have been dated to 200 AD, more information can be read here I first becames aware of the words in Alex Grey's book 'Sacred Mirrors', which inspired me greatly.

I'm not trying to make this religious but that don't seem like nothin' Jesus woulda said...especially since it directly conflicts with other things he did say.
