What are your views on this?? seeing as i like Rave and NPS, i perssonally like this and have made my own disc (am listening righ now!).

for me, it works as an album, theres alot of catchy, funky numbers, and some good ballads.

Also, does anyone have any fan made covers they can post?

But "when I lay my hands on you" isn't a good closer for me.
What about the song "Judas smile", that can't be beat and works with "daisy chain"

The real tracklist for the High album has never been made public.

I don't know if it would of made a good album, because that makes no grammatical sense whatsoever. whether it would have, I think it would have been a decent album but not as enojoyable as the album that ultimately becamse his next album after Rave, The Rainbow Children.

Aren't some of those songs from The Chocolate Invasion album?

Prince - HIGH (Album from 2000)
The High album has been completed for quite some time (summer 2000) - announced over NPGOnlineLTD in 2000 - but there are no definite plans as to how/if the album will be released. There is no release date set!

More or less all songs R meanwhile available over NPG Music Club, performed live or on the NPG AHDIO transmissions / as video or offered as complete download or as sample. "Underneath the cream" is circulating as "bootleg".

This album project seems not to be 'completed', likely more trax will be added!

At one point (August 2000), this 10 tracks were planned for inclusion on High:

woulda made it an even better album ... yeah this material was pretty good .. an woulda been a very good album .. . he got so many good songs . its sick lol ..

I always get a Sly Stone/There's a Riot going on/70s/freak flag vibe from some of the "High" tracks. This is Prince at his "blackest" without the awkwardness of him trying to sound like a 20 year old playa hip/hop "gangsta".

I always liked the "High" album. I no longer have all of the tracks, but back when I did, I listened to it often. I still listen to the "U Make My Sun Shine/When Will We B Paid" single on a regular basis. I put "Gamillah" on my wedding CD and people really liked it.

I do not think so. I like a few tracks and some I do not.

I remember seeing alist a possible tracks for the album in Uptown
years ago.

I have tried to make different setlists between the Chocolate/Slaughter House
tracklists (many of which would have been on High) and I cannot find anything I like. Maybe 6 to 8 songs sound good together and thats it.

The NPG releases were probably a good idea at the time. I am sure Prince could rework some of these songs now and they would be better( The Dance as an example). Alot of the songs sound like rough ideas that need to ferment a bit more.
