Is Prince's music too accessible?

The average everyday person thinks that Prince made a "comeback" with the MUSICOLOGY release. However, we know that Prince actually never went anywhere. He was still recording and releasing albums. With MUSICOLOGY, I noticed that Prince's music became VERY accessible, as far as sound and content. When has Prince ever made such conforming albums....by that I mean 10-12 songs, that presented little musical/lyrical challenge. Now dont get me wrong, Prince has made some masterpeice songs on his last 3 CD's(Lion Of Judah, Get On The Boat, Cinnamon Girl) but it seems that the musical/lyrical challenges that made Prince somewhat of an enigma in the past were gone or lessened to a huge degree. Was that purposefully done because Prince has a reputation of making music that isnt easily accessible? I think so but honestly, who knows?

My question is this, does anyone miss the inaccessibility of Prince's music? I remember when I first bought THE RAINBOW CHILDREN CD, I was like "What is this?" Like it or hate it, TRC was a step in a different direction for Prince, especially coming off of the heels of his other attempt at overt commercialism(Rave Un2The Joy Fantastic). TRC offered a musical challenge...it even challenged you in other areas(religion, etc). I have grown to love Prince's music for the challenges that it posed to me....what is "lemon crush?", the allegations of Abraham Lincoln being a racist in "Avalanche", why would Prince live his life in taxicabs before Annie Christian's crucified? etc..

anyone miss the inaccessibility in Prince's music?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I actually like having to hold inquisitions for this quizzically masterful-being.

Prince has always inspired conversation on his topics,
And I don't question why he delivers the way he does...
Whether He says it straight up or writes his songs in (EDLS)
(Equal Distant Letter Spacing.) I'm gonna enjoy it.

Im not saying he doesnt now but it seems like his last 3 albums have been very "dumbed down" or more commercial and "striaght to the point" moreso than anything else...are there any songs on his last 3 CD's over 5 mins? LOL(I know there are but...)
