I got a lot a money!

The little Prince....

A Princely sum
Prince might not be the first person you would think of as a celebrity super spender, but this guy has dough. He's one of the few artists to have sold over 100 million albums, and had one of the highest grossing tours with Musicology, which made him a cool $84 million.

U Don't Have To Be Rich...
Prince even manages to make money when he gives things away. Despite giving away copies of his new album with the Mail On Sunday, he was still paid £250,000.

The weirdest thing Prince spends his money on is property and DIY in other people's rooms - he has a habit of re-styling rooms to suit his own "unique" taste. His most recent request includes an order of an oxygen bar to be manned by sexy women at all times, along with an antique popcorn maker.

He got kicked out of his Los Angeles pad in 2006 after he painted the walls of the house with his symbol, the name of his album and purple stripes. He even had a purple carpet monogrammed with his symbol put in the bedroom. It might be a little tacky, but with a rent of £70,000 a month the landlord won't exactly be strapped for cash to redecorate.

Black suite
He continued his interior design antics when he came to London for the O2 tour. Rather than settling with the typically plush room in the Dorchester hotel, he had the entire suite redecorated entirely in black. That's black walls, floors, furniture and even a black M&Ms dispense - sounds cheerful.

Apart from belting out hits and changing his name to a symbol, Prince is also famous for his eccentric fashion sense. If the neon-coloured suits, frilly shirts and shoulder pads don't raise your eyebrows, perhaps the high heels and leather pants will. Prince has a taste for women's clothing, which he explains by saying "I wear heels because the women like 'em" (yes on their own feet).

Prince doesn't usually follow celebrity trends but recently he followed the likes of Paris Hilton and released a perfume. It's named 3121 after his album of the same name. So far the sales haven't exactly been stunning, in fact most people haven't even heard of it, which is a pity because unlike other celebrities he's donating a chunk of the earnings to charity. Apparently having the Prince odour just isn't an idea which appeals.

I like that article except for the end - it seemed a bit mean.

The Dorchester may be posh but the existing Decor in it is foul. Chintzy old-fashioned crud. I hope Prince stays in all the rooms and re-decorates!

He needs to hang a black drape over the bed
And have the electricians poke some holes in it,
Run some tiny fiber optics for stars-
Sounds like he needs a night light.

Being that for the past several months,
all I have been wearing is a wooden barrel with two two straps,
I cannot relate to the title of this thread
at all.

Yep, a friend of a friend who's much older than us recently married some Saudi Arabian Prince or something. When she came to visit we went up to her room in the Dorchester and I was stunned at how garish the place was. At least I got to sit next to Sir Alan Sugar in the bar and pay £4 for a Coke lol
