If Tony M were left Up to his Own devices free of Prince's influence....

Do you think his rymes would have been more "street",

I mean, much of the silliness of his rhymes HAD to be influenced if not completely scripted by Prince, right?

Well, I guess I don't know as I have't really read any biographies on Prince or anything. But it seems to me that Tony M. is a fine rapper who just got a bad gig, despite the fame and fortune it gave him.

Ummm. I'm a hip-hop head and umm.. Tony M is wack, end of story.
Every time P tried to mess with hip-hop, he'd fail. I don't mind the hip-hop influenced beats, but when he raps or has others rapping, 95% of the time its wack.

Well...I read in a Book (Possessed) that at a rehearsal Tony M. said "I'm gonna squeeze some Black outta this nigga if it kills him". So with that said I believe Tony was trying 2 make Prince "Hard" or as he puts it "Black". confused

But his ryhmes were wack as hell..so who the hell cares about that fool anyway. lol

Someone should have told Tony M. that it was white folks that made shit hop blow up and become as huge as it had become. If anything, he would have been squeezing some more "white" out of Prince. lol

Tony was a terrible rapper in concert. If you listen to a concert CD, he totally ruins the song.

Exactly! He needs to stay as far away from shit hop, shit hoppers, and anything resembling shit hop as possible.

I personally think that Prince and Kid Rock could probably benefit from each other's contributions in the world of rock/rap.

i was in the minneapolis hip hop scene at the time, tony m hung out at our crib/studio all the time. trust me, he's wack and lucky as hell that prince didnt have the ear for hip hop to be able to know better.he would only let my group hang out at paisley when he knew prince wouldnt be around cus he knew if prince heard my boys he'd go hmmmmm?. it's not like prince was trollin hip hop spots in minny lookin for real talent, he was livin in a bubble.
