Prince is not the ladies man you ladies think he is.... History has shown, especially now that he's sueing everyone in sight, that Prince is an absolute Napoleonic control freak. Ladies, I know his lyrics are those of the perfect sensitive loyal man, but c'mon, are any of you gullible enough to believe that if you were in a relationship, he would do anything but attempt to control every aspect of your life, from changing your name to your wardrobe to making you adopt his religion? And of course he would see you as a possession, not a person and feel entitled to cheat on you with the next scorching hot 18 year old latina that shakes her ass in his face.
So my question for the ladies is this. Multiple choice: A) I'm in love with the fantasy of Prince not the reality. B) I actually think he'd treat me different C) It's Prince, screw it, I'll be his possession and he can cheat all he wants. D) I'm not in love with him it all. I just want a nice normal dude.

Who wants a relationship with him? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It might be interesting to find out if his tongue lives up the hype. But I am not intrigued in the least by the ability to add 1+1+1. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

E)work on your own game and quit trying to throw salt in somebody elses.
That's not to say you're wrong but it's not my place or yours to worry about. Besides, there's always room for redemption and change.

I sure in tha hell don't. Unless it involves kicking him in the neck, right? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I'm not throwing salt on Prince's game at all. His game is perfect. It has worked for men for hundreds of years: Pretend to be one thing when you're pretty much the opposite.
I'm just curious to see how many women out there are still going for it.

My answer is A. The Prince that I created in my mind is a humble sweetheart who still looks like he did 23 years ago.

E- it would depend, on whether or not we could juggle eachother's moods
If I was in a good mood, I'd let him have all the girs he wants If I was in a bad mood, I'd squirt mustard on him when he got home. Then I'd tell him that hem had better find that rib he lost, or else I'm going BBQ sauce on the leather couches. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I'd live his life styles for as long as it lasts.
Beats my 40 hour work week anytime! Change my name Give me a much better look Make me live in a mansion & drive the big name cars. " a newborn child knows nothing of destruction, nothing of love & hate"

I'm just curious to see how many women out there are still going for it. I for one don't doubt the sincerity of Prince's music. In fact it's the only thing that I trust from his camp. The problem is I don't think he's consistent so he doesn't always follow through on his good intentions. It doesn't mean he's intentionally being dishonest or deceitful though. Oh, hell forget it. I've got my own life to worry about. I'm done defending somebody I don't even know-- but I stand by what I said.

For real. I mean...what's so awful about being abandoned after you lose a child? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

For real. I mean...what's so awful about being abandoned after you lose a child? Some people honestly do not know what to do or how to handle this hardest pf all situations, loosing a child. It isn't our place to judge him or anyone. But Prince can express LOVE like no other. He shares a thread of Love throught the universe, and colors it in many shades.

No one has the right to make a negative comment? C'mon, and I suppose I shouldn't say that George Bush is a horrible leader or that Michael Vick is an animal abuser. Gee that would be mean, and we should all just be nice and never ever ever risk offending anyone.... Prince is a control freak!!! I don't think anyone except the most obsessed Prince fans would dispute that for a second. It aint no secret.

I do think Prince is sincere in his music at the time he writes it. My personal dime store psychologist opinion is that Prince gets into relationships with the best intentions, but then when things go wrong he's waaaaay to arrogent to think it could have anything to do with him. So he attempts to change and control his women without ever looking at himself and realizing that maybe it's him that needs to change his controlling nature or maybe it's him that needs to stop chasing 19 year olds.

I don't think what you say about Prince is 100% true, you haven't met him, have you? Many artists are very possessive about their work and will go to great lengths to control it. I think that is very much Prince. As far as him controlling other people, I don't know. Mayte has said she had to wait for him to call her and she could not call him. I think that is a little strange to come from your spouse, however still don't know the details to assume anything. He has tried to create personas for some of his proteges but that again is just him being creative and not really "controlling".
