OMG!! S.S.T. enters the Canadian top 40 ??!! Okay, how cool is this: it appears Prince is currently number 36 in the Canadian singles chart with the single S.S.T.!!!
WTF!!!!! This was released in early 2005 and now has hit the Canadian top 40! Don't believe me? (Don't blame you!) check this out: http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=9 I didn't belive it so i did a quick search for another Canadian chart and found this one http://allcharts.org/musi...ingles.htm (dated aug 9th 2007)- it only shows the top 20 but they all correctly match the top 20 of the top 40 charts site - so it may well be real (!!)... This seems too surreal, but it well appears the the Prince single 'S.S.T.' is currently a top 40 single, over 2 years after its release! (or should that be ) and i've never even heard it! very cool

There are so few CD singles available at retail its jump on the Canadian chart is probably the result of one fan buying 10 copies.

If you simply change the date to last week (10-08-2007) it will take you back to last weeks chart and you will see it at 36 (i guess that 36 is gonna be its peak position - pity, it woulda been cool to see it get up to become his 50th top 20). And if you go to this canadian top 50 chart http://jam.canoe.ca/Music...NGLES.html you will see that it's now at No.49

From the DTT:
Who will be a guest in your tent? Certainly not the ones who don't wanna repent And keep giving guns 2 the poorest of our nation's sons Who is gonna call U by name With no confusion, trinity or preacher's vain? Who says it every time (Every time) And opens up the eyes of the blind? Who will be the one in his bed? Certainly not the one who put the thorns on his head And wished him dead while they took his daily bread Which one is of value 2 U? (2 U ) The one depletin' the oil supply Or the one that renews it And keeps the peace (Keep the peace) Like the groove in Sade's "Sweetest Taboo"? CHORUS: Give it 2 me, give it 2 me The Sweetest (the sweetest {first chorus only}) Give it 2 me, give it 2 me Give it 2 me, give it 2 me The Sweetest Can I groove a little bit? Let me groove a little bit Who will be a guest in your tent? (Who dat...?) Are U gonna be happy with how your life is spent? Did U have open arms 4 each and everybody U met? Did U let them die in the rain, (In the rain) Endless war, poverty or hurricane? It's time 4 another groove Like Sade's "Sweetest Taboo" CHORUS Come on, come on CHORUS Oh, yeah Turn it right down Be cool, everybody New Orleans U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.
