why dont prince make his own concert "bootleg" whats the use of record a concert when prince mix the concert right of the soundboard.
he will sell alot. official "bootlegs" (sorry for the word i mean he does wear boots.) i know peter gabriel does it or genisus or duran duran and some more i think. its really great you can buy the concert you was at, in great sound. he can stop being paranoid about recordings and make some more money out of it in a way alot of fans would like (4 xample look this site http://www.themusic.com/encore/pg2007 ) what is your oppinion about that? Love it. Don't know why all artists don't do this.

How do you know he's not behind the leaking of his songs? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I think he is behind some of the releases. The fan recordings are horrible though and could be stopped by Prince actually making his own release. Wishfull thinking again.....unfortunately.

i think prince has his own special philosophy about releasing things for archival use, like live shows and old outtakes and remasters/reissues. i think some of it has to do with industry politics, and i think some of it has to do with his impatience to get on with the next project on his mind. i'm sure even if he tried to explain his rationale to us in the clearest non-princebonics possible, we'd still have a hard time understanding his logic. it's a shame.
