The fact that Michael Jackson is influencing these little shit hoppers is reason enough for Prince to be the winner.

How Many times do we have to have these comparing threads, If you want an answer to your question your better of asking this on a Non-MJ or a Non-Prince forum to get a independent answer.

I prefer Prince. Others prefer MJ. God, how much more boring and unoriginal a thread could you possibly have created? I'm sorry, but honestly...

Why do people still (since 1984) ask this same question? The only thing these two musical icons have in common is race. THAT IS IT, PERIOD. Why is it that any time two sucessful Black people in any genre (music, acting, modeling, etc), have to be compared and pit against eachother.

I was influenced by both of these exceptional artists.

One time,
when I was in college,
in order to turn my date on,
I danced a ballet naked for her.
When I noticed that her hysterical laughter had shown no sign of subsiding,
I moonwalked my ass outta that situation as fast as I could.

Prince of course. I do like some of Michael Jackson music , I bought the Michael Jackson essentials CD. I did not like the way MJ Promoted himself over the years (over hyping everything). I hated watching concert footage of him because 65% of the footage would be of fans crying (yeah I get it!!!!! stop shoving it down my throat). I'm glad Prince does not do that.

very stupid question.
put guitar, drums, bass, klavinet and lock michael and prince in a room.
better musician will be the one who is more proficient on instrument?right.

music is something made by musicians.
so question is related to that subject?

michael jackson is better danciq queen.he could replace jerome benton in time to be comic foil.
but once upon a time michael was soulful vocaL BUT WHO REMEMBER IT NOW

I think the people that are most influenced by Prince are the actual musicians, not the singers. I hear a lot of rock bands talk about how much Prince inspired them. For example, the Foo Fighters. It may not be as obvious because Prince is lightly sprinkled into their music while some of the artists that you mentioned being influenced by Michael have at times been a carbon copy of Michael.

Both artists can never be duplicated, that's for sure.
