from everything I've heard, he is a mac head. at least he was in the past. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. If his own music club didn't cater for Mac users, I doubt very much the boss man was one! Plus, if he was you use it for recording, all the best professional music studio software is PC based. .

I know a local studio that use macs too. I just think they will be in the minority. Software like Logic Pro is OK, but I think you'll see many top 10 hits made on it. .

macs hold music programs/photoshop/illustrator/any computer graphics or photo editing stuff better. almost all art and design schools require them and use them.

I heard that too
Might have been true at one point But nowadays i don't think that's still the case

I work in the creative department of a multi-billion dollar clothing company. Our entire company works on PCs -- except for the creative department, which works on Macs. Every company I've ever interviewed with for a similar job has a Mac-based creative department.
I would be very surprised if, for example, the 3121 site was created on a PC. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Nearly 100% of all recording studios running ProTools R using Macs. "He's a musician's musician..."

I remember it was either the first or second Celebration at Paisley Park and there were MACs set up for all of us to listen to music or whatever. This was back in '00 or '01

my many years of working as a songwriter/producer has led me to believe that the best music software available is for the mac

I use protools on mac, it acts buggy on the PC.
I edit video on a mac in final cut pro I use after effects on either computer, but a PC can render a bit faster. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

all my musician friends rock macs..but i have sold more records on my trusy PCs...its all about your talent ! any and all these operating systems are light years away from even the highest quality studio 20 years ago...*that doesn't mean they sound better..It means all the otions you had before are now available on any average computer system + a zillion things you could never have done in the 80's.

Go to the gallery on Paisly Parks site and you will see each studio is kitted out with a mac.
Who's going to say Prince dos'nt use a mac now! Thats Studio D Apple G4 plainly in view: http://www.paisleyparkstu...tudioD.asp and Studio B, Apple G4 obscured by the cahir bat can be seen. http://www.paisleyparkstu...tudioB.asp The other studio's run both Logic and Pro Tools. You cant see the towers in the photo's, but I'd be awful damn sure that they are there.

Most of the creative people I know in my industry (entertainment) are mac people. Wendy and Lisa give presentations at a Mac store in Los Angeles. sounds like this subject is locked.
