Which outtakes would have made the coolest videos? After wearing out U Gotta Shake Something,I was thinking how cool it would have been to have witnessed that jam session.I think it would've been right up there with the live promos of Baby,I'm A Star and America.
A video for Schoolyard would've been as funny,funky and playful as the song itself is. I bet it might have been kinda like a cross between the videos for Partyman and Gett Off. I can't begin to imagine what a promo for Other's Here With Us would have been like! As cool of a song as it is,it gives me the creeps. Any others? [Edited 8/13/07 15:56pm] | |

Although it's not really considered an "outtake" as it was released on Crystal Ball '98, but I'd have to say "Movie Starr". It's toooootally a song that has a comedic visual aspect to it. A la "Partyman". | |

personally i think theres a classic video waiting to be made for I WONDER .. i like the feel of the song .. i think it would work real well if it was turn into a Black n White or sepia video .. with some big overwieght/heavyweight dude sitting on the step of a house ..like them old cheap wooden houses from the old films ..anyway he is sitting there playing harmonic on the poarch ..while prince an his woman are rowing inside .. she comes storming out .. an leaves prince ..prince walks out looking fed up .sits down..an then straight away the sunshine goes in .thunder roars an it starts raining very heavyly.. prince looks at his overwieght mate ..an his overweight mate picks up his bases ..an plays .. THEN THE SONG BEGINS .. just classic old skool performance .just prince telling his story an his mate sympathising an adding odd backing vocal .. get prince wearing all black .an maybe a hat .he puts on an takes off when stressing a point .walking up an down the poarch .. an get princes mate in a 70s-80s style old school anorak .... u know this makes sence .. thats the vision i have of this song ..just feels like something that would be great to sink on a step ..an can imagine him singin it on a step ....even more than reflection whenever i want to hear some new music ...i make some - prince '99' | |
