What are the most hard to come by albums?

Sorting out some bits for a friend and I need to know which of Prince's albums are the hardest to find now. For example, I know The Gold Experience is deleted but are there many more that you'd have trouble finding in the shops now?
RIP sad

Everything except the following, I've found hard 2 come by:

Purple Rain
ATWIAD
Prince
3121
Musicology
Planet Earth
1999
prince
SOTT

heh cool

The other ones I own, I got lucky by finding them. I found TGE used to FYE... that's the luckiest find I've had... and it was pretty early in my "album hunting"... one of the first 3 I bought

Most are for £5 at the moment

Fopp is back open in Manchester. Stick to EBAY for the rarer albums

thanx.

I'll definitely go to Amazon when I come into more money again, lol

Plus, I still have a couple of albums I need to mull over and figure out. And of course, there's one that I'm setting aside 4 Xmas vacation when I have time to devote 2 its entire packaging.

I found out that HMV in the UK will order any they don't have that they have on their system and that many of them are now falling inside a 'Two for £8.47' offer that's now in effect on lots of albums including Prince's.

The record retail industry is dead. Everything must go. Buy now!

Last time I checked, most of his 80's and early 90's stuff is on Amazon. Everything not on there is pretty easy to find on Ebay with the exception of the NPGMC exclusives and GoldNigga.

No. It's not. I bought it on Amazon.com new a few weeks back. It's listed as import only on Amazon.co.uk though (and they charge the dollar price in pounds there).

I last saw it in HMV Piccadilly London under the stairs by the box collections. I think it was £50

Plus you can buy it on the tour at the o2 arena

consider yourself lucky. lol

4 me, there are only 2-3 more albums I want 2 get b4 stopping.

Heh, I collected 15 albums over the past 7 months... but yes, I will most likely stop after I get those last couple of 'em.

Then I'll b satisfied. cool (until he writes a new one, of course)

i got lucky with Emancipation, TGE, and The Black Album....as a matter of fact the only time ive seen the Black Album is when i bought it in A COUNTRY TOWN music shop! (I dont know if any of u guys know of the Parkes Elvis Festival here in Oz, thats where i got it from, and from busking money too razz) Emancipation and TGE i found luckily in a 2nd hand music shop, for bloody cheap too!

Another one is If You Feel Like Dancing 2 cd set which ive also only ever seen once, but thats Prince & 94 East so technically its not just a Prince album razz but its still very funky for early days P!

ive only seen Batman brand new once, and that was recently but i already had it sad i also need to get me Crystal Ball but im very iffy about that one as i think a lot of the sellers on Ebay are dodge bastards who are over charging for it and i reckon they would just b CDR copies of it! mad

Wow... lucky...

I still consider myself lucky to have found TGE @ FYE. And it was my first trip there looking for Prince's music too.

I wish I had that same luck with Emancipation, but congrats on your good fortune. thumbs up!

hard to come by in stores, or online? Nothing is really hard to come by online. ONA Piano is, I reckon. 1-800 New Funk took me a while to get. Rave In2 is now unavailable but there's usually a few on eBay.....give it a couple of years and that will be hard to come by.

Emancipation is always always always in the shops new and sealed here in the UK for.....get this.....the massive amount of.....£1.99. ($4).

It's the clean version though. I remember once I was flipping through all the Emancipation £1.99 stock when I found a copy that had a £30 price tag on it....I wondered why and then I saw the little Parental Advisory sticker.

As if there's a lot of cussing on that album anyway! I only noticed the "motherf**cker you can lay face down" and the dude on Da, Da, Da "looking for a job in the ghetto is f**ckin useless".....somehow that's not worth an extra £28 for me, LOL

I'm guessing that EMI printed up more clean stock than they intended to, or something.

I saw Crystal Ball on the shelves a few times, but that's going back like 5-6 years now. Goldnigga you won't see, or the two NPG albums. The holographic version of D&P isnt on store shelves much.
