It is certainly rare to meet someone live and in person who will outwardly admit to being a Prince fan. And yet, the man is infamous and rich as hell. I think I was born a Prince fan, but only realized it when I was 13 and heard 1999 for the first time.

And on one used purple Ibanez guitar it says "If PRINCE can play, ANYONE can!" I don't know why, but I got MAD when I saw that. The guy that works at the pawn shop is also a metal-head guitarist, which for some reason made me even more angry. He's probably just jealous. Metal fans are among the douchiest when it comes to Prince. I don't know why, really. There's nothing wrong with not being a fan or just not appreciating the guy's writing or style or guitar playing or whatever. I don't like all sorts of acts that have huge fanbases, it's not a big deal. What I don't understand is the level of hate and venom directed at The Kid. I mean, what in God's name? I don't like Lamb of God, but I'm not about to start posting on their fansites about how crap they are. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Another one I heard is that he can't sing and its all fixed in the recording studio. yea... so i get pissed off when I hear that kinda stuff. Looks like a woman? Sometimes, yeah. Looks like MJ? That's a fucking stretch. He's still got his own nose. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

There are lots of old school R&B ex-Prince fans that think Prince lost his mind beginning with "Around The World In A Day" and became "too white". There are lots of the new found pop/rock ex-Prince fans who discovered Prince beginning with "Little Red Corvette" and "Purple Rain", who dropped Prince, just like the R&B fans, beginning with "Around The World In A Day". Their reason is because they felt Prince became too nerdy and artsy/fartsy. Prince lost his mind ages before AWTIAD. It's part of his charm. Now there is the younger generation who would never like Prince anyway because he makes real music and gets faster than midtempo.....something that the majority of their shit hop generation knows nothing about. Then, there's the stupidest reason of all for someone not being a fan and this has been with Prince since day one....."Prince is gay".....Well duh? I think so too! But what the fuck does that have with music? These folks are not even worth arguing with though because a homophobic person is just as stupid, ignorant, and trashy as a racist trailer park trash. Agree fully. I think Prince is...well, something. Not hetero though.. The way he presents his sexuality and gender in public spooks people. It's stupid, but true. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
