Prince In Stadiums Prince mainly does ampitheaters and arenas inside The US. Outside the US in places like Europe and Asia he usually does stadiums I believe.
My question is if he usually does stadiums in Europe why is he doing an arena in London? If a certain artist were dropping in popularity I could see then going from stadiums to arena. But he's doing 21 nights in London's O2. Insanely long like a Broadway play. If he does that the rest of the tour he won't get to America till 2010. The O2 holds about 20,000. Wembley stadium about 90,000. If it's sold out that's 420,000 fans total. He could easily cover that many fans with 5 nights at Wembley. Prince has actually done clubs and theaters here in The US. I'm not sure but I'm guessing he does stadiums everywhere else. 21 nights, shouldn't hereplace Michael for the longest running concert series? Guess nobody else had to use the arena. Prince has been coming to Philadelphia for the last 30 years and jst about each times it's been concert venues sometimes even samll theatres like the one he did here with Tamar, He has never done a large stadium here more than 20,000. | |
