Did Michael B play drums on Planet Earth? Just downloaded the lyrics from 3121.com and had a look at the credits... It's confusing because he has michael b, sonny T and Wendy & Lisa in the special thanks list then later lists his new band... What do think? I really do think some of the tracks on Planet Earth are old ones from the vault now! Prince please release something like SOTT, The Rainbow Children or Lovesexy next not really into the whole R&B Emancipation/New Powersoul vibe..

Yes, I heard this from Michael, and one other source. He and Sonny play on the song "Planet Earth". "He's a musician's musician..."

I guess I gotta say this AGAIN.
The credits on the CD aren't even close 2 telling who played what. There R credits for people who aren't even on the album, or just barely. Much of the album is Prince, with a few others peppered in here and there. I'll say AGAIN that it's my belief that the album went 2 print before the final configuration of songs, hence the lack of a tracklisting. Since there were 30 or more songs recorded, it's possible he just credited everyone who was involved with all of the songs. Then, only 10 made the final cut. "He's a musician's musician..."

Dayuum then why only release a 10 track album! This could have been at least 12 trax (and therefore *feel* more substantial)! Also: MICHAEL B. - DRUMS SONNY T. - BASS WENDY - ACOUSTIC GUITAR & MANDOLIN LISA - ADDITIONAL KEYS CHRISTIAN SCOTT - TRUMPET SHEILA E. - PERCUSSION MARVA KING - VOCALS What a band THAT would be!!!!! 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

It sounded like michael bland on the drums becuse the drums were PHAT. My girlfriend was listening to the CD and she said that some of the drumming didn't sound sharp or solid. I told her. It it ain't solid, it ain't bland.
Even when I saw her palying live. She wasn't always solid. But she did a good job.
