Here's why I ask:
I posted a sweet little 30 second video on YouTube of my sweet little 10-month-old dancing to "Planet Earth." It's the first track of the new Prince album, maybe you've heard of it? The sound quality of the video was awful because I shot it from the kitchen sink on a crappy little camera.You could barely hear the track.But being a proud purple parent, I was excited to see my girl getting down to her papi's hero
We posted it on YouTube for all of the family to enjoy (my family, but if Susannah, Eric, Jerome, Jellybean, and St. Paul wanted to watch, that would have been fine too).
Well, everything was slamming until we received notification from YouTube this week that the video had been removed due to a copyright claim from "The Music Publisher."
I pray to all that is Lovesexy in this world that Prince is not ordering his legal minions to remove family videos that feature his music in the background.
Prince's music has been the soundtrack of my life. I guess my daughter will just have to listen to David Bowie. He would never do this.
