The biggest problem in the world today is adults "reasoning" with children.

The proper response to children dissing Prince is, "Go to your room right now...and just think about what you said. And don't come out until you can apologize!" mad

Last night my 13-year-old son insisted we watch "Happy Feet" and that I would love it. I know he did this solely because of the Prince songs in the movie.

I thought that was awful nice of him.

Yeah, kids can be sweet sometimes. He new you'd like the penguins singing "Kiss" and, of course, there's "The Heart Song". Good movie. With that movie I've introudced my 8 year old daughter to Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Queen, etc...Of course she already knows of Prince and dances to "The Heart Song" when the credits roll. cool

It's amazing, my 19month old daughter dances to Chelsa Rodgers and I'm The One You Wanna See. She will undoubtly grow into a P fan.

Why would you argue about Prince with children. Just look at the music they are exposed to these days. There is absolutely no way they will understand so the arguement is hopeless and pointless. Hell, there are very few people in their 20s that I will argue about Prince, or music in general, with.

RANDY1

I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and they are all about Prince. They love to DVD Rave which I find my kids dancing and singing to the songs. Yesterday on our way home my son is singing shes always in my hair. Last night my daughter (2 years old) say out of no where I want to move to live with Prince and my surprise my son turned around and said I want to live in a city with Prince. Yes, I love Prince but I think they are more into Prince then I. Randy plays(if that is what you call ALOT of noise) lol drums and guitar because of Prince. My daughter wants to sing. They are over the top. If they want to use him as a mentor I couldn't find anyone better. Prince is a total success and that is want I want for my kids.

My 10 year old daughter hates Prince with a passion. I have argued with her about Prince being a better "musician" than Gwen Stefani, which she doubts!

On the other hand, my 14 year old son likes some Prince songs, and even has them on his Myspace account, which his other friends hassle him about. I've got a picture of him wearing my Purple Rain shirt, which he posted, and his "friends" said it was stupid.

however, my boy has told me on a few occassions...that P looks like a girl!
I had to laugh.
Then one day he asked me....Dad, who is Michael Jackson?
My wife and I just looked at eachother and laughed.

My sister bought five copies of the Mail On Sunday, in order to sell the Planet Earth CDs on eBay and make a quick profit... Well, she never sold them in the end, as hundreds of the discs were only selling for a few pounds each.

So, my sister ended up with a copy of Planet Earth in nearly every room of her house and one in her car...

As a result of this Prince saturation, my nine-year old niece has become a fan! Her favourite song is 'Guitar' and my brother-in-law said that she even does the Guitar dance, pretending to play her leg (like The Twinz). He had to tell her not to do the Guitar dance whilst she was in the front seat of their car as it looked weird and was slightly dangerous whilst he was driving. lol
