The Work series....I can't remember what Vol tho.....it's worth the search however, the original contains very personal lyrics about chick's coke habit (his bodygaurd) and what the critics were saying about him at the time....

THE REST OF MY LIFE – from the “I’ll Do Anything” sessions, April 1992

IT’S ABOUT THAT WALK – recorded September 1993 during the Act II
tour. Never intended for any particular album.

SHE SPOKE 2 ME – recorded during the “prince” album sessions in 1991, a
‘single edit’ version had been previously released on the “Girl 6” soundtrack
in 1996. The version included here is the original full length version.

5 WOMEN – this version recorded October 1995. Originally recorded in 1992
and given to Joe Cocker, who then re-recorded his own version for his 1992
album “Night Calls”.

WHEN THE LIGHTS GO DOWN – recorded sometime in 1992.

MY LITTLE PILL – from the “I’ll Do Anything” sessions, April 1992

THERE IS LONELY – from the “I’ll Do Anything” sessions, April 1992

OLD FRIENDS 4 SALE – recorded April 1985 during the Parade sessions.
The Clare Fischer strings were added later the same year. The lyrics were
re-done in 1991, as originally the subject matter was too specific and Prince
no longer felt the same animosity and betrayal to the people involved.

SARAH – recorded February 1996. Never intended for any particular album.

EXTRAORDINARY – recorded October 1992 and originally intended for
inclusion on Rosie Gaines’ shelved Paisley Park solo album.

Nice topic.

Boris, I didn't know this version of 5 Women was recorded in late 1995. Is the circulating outtake that's been around for years the original version that was given to Joe Cocker? The two Prince versions are fairly similar, but different enough to be two separate recordings.
