About Prince's Drumming on Chelsea Rodgers... I just love it.
Especially the breakdown, which reminds me of early-mid '70s Stevie Wonder's drumming. There's a perfect amount of room reverb going on with that kick drum. "He's a musician's musician..."

The breakdown is also my favorite part of that song. For a few seconds, it is sheer perfection. You've got the awesome drums and the main guitar riff, then the scratch and the mini solo. I could listen to just that section over and over again.

That part is awsome.
I took a sample from it and use it as a ringtone on my mobile now. [Edited 8/9/07 11:16am]

I really don't think so. Can U confirm this? no but prince did credit the album to The New Power Generation, so the band must be on more songs then usual for him to do that

I can also confirm that it was recorded in Florida, of all places. "He's a musician's musician..."

...and also... the credits on this album R totally misleading.
I have no idea why he decided 2 do that. My sources haven't been able 2 tell me why, but I'm guessing that since he recorded about 30 songs, and then chose only 10, combined with the lack of a tracklisting on the printed cover, the cover went 2 print before the final configuration of the album. He put everyone's name that was involved in all 30 songs. However, it's clear that he's playing all of the piano on the album, drums on at least 1-2 songs, Bass on at least 3 songs, etc. "He's a musician's musician..."
