but I don't think one shakes a juicy juice, seeing as ten years ago I was hooked on em', I don't ever remember anyone shaking them? whatevs though, I love that line, I hope it's slaped on tshirts. [Edited 8/8/07 20:20pm] | |

Yes, and I love it.
My 5 year old daughter can't stop saying it. Also, there's the "Dance" discoesque background vocals, and the "might as well Dance" backgrounds. Also, I love Prince's drumming on this. "He's a musician's musician..." |

I find it hilarious how people have such a problem with Prince's lyrics these days when he's ALWAYS written ridiculous lines in songs. I mean, the guy's never been the deepest, most poetic lyricist. It was just one of those things you overlooked. | |

yea he def. has had some ridiculous lyrics over the years. altho, i was getting into parade again recently and i feel like a lot of those lyrics were very creative and almost poetic some spots. mountains has really interesting lyrics.

I think his lyrics now and always have said what he wants them to say. If they sound deep they were meant to sound deep, if they sound nonsensical they were meant to. I think he always has and always does and still does have them say what he wants to. You might think they sound silly well he probably wanted them to. You can find Party lyrics, spiritual lyrics, political lyrics, nonsense lyrics etc., etc., etc. all the way through his career. This isn't a just now thing. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done. | |
