Also, Columbia/Prince hurt things by not releasing a video. In addition, releasing FBM only two weeks before the cd dropped wasn't smart. No interviews. No big time U.S. tours. Blah, blah blah. However, things can still improve. All it may take is for FBM or another single to do really well. It's not unusual for slow selling albums to pick up once a single gets hot. There's still time. It's all riding on the success of FBM now.
This is true and hopefully will happen but won't count on it. Look at Amy Winehouse's cd sales after Rehab started getting radio play it shot way up so is possible...

I fell on a billboard once.
It was a college stunt gone awry.

Sad, but true. To me, this desperation ploy is all that's left to possibly turn things around. “Maybe” greater airplay of FBM on Urban AC radio will let more R&B listeners know that the cd is out. Although a slim chance, I can’t think of anything else that would turn things around at this point. Too bad.

Well, Prince is performing in London so there's no way he can promote the album; the question is, "Is Sony promoting the album in the US?" "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Can't say I'm surprised.
This album will be out of the top 50 in three to four more weeks. No hard feelings.

It's cool that Common debuted at #1, even though his new album is...not as good as the last one. "Fun is good." - Dr. Seuss
