The credits R very confusing, and incorrect 2 an extent.
There aren't as many players on the album as the credits suggest. Prince is playing most of the parts. He's done this before, and I have no idea why he's doing it again. The only thing I can come up with, is that since there were about 20 other songs recorded and not included on the album, some of these players may have recorded on some other stuff. The fact that there was no tracklisting supports this theory, because it appears Prince didn't decide on the songs until the last possible minute. He's on piano on "Planet Earth", "Somewhere Here on Earth", and "All the Midnights in the World". The drums R difficult 2 tell, but it really sounds like him on "Chelsea Rodgers"... Could be him on "Resolution" and "Lion of Judah", and even "Planet Earth", but that could be Mike Bland. I haven't been able 2 communicate with the proper folks in order 2 ascertain who's who. "He's a musician's musician..." | |
