Do you isolate Prince's music?

As much as I love Prince, I love a lot of other music and have about 750 CDS/ablums of all genres.

But, Prince is the only artist I listen to feast or famine. I go into "Prince Mode" and will only listen to Prince for a few days. When I'm done I'll listen to other stuff, but will rarely mix Prince in among the other stuff.

Same for custom mix CDs I burn. I have no problem burning CDs with metal, hip-hop, classic rock, indy rock all on the same CD (though I also like genre specific mix CDs).

But, I hardly ever mix in Prince. He gets his own mix CDS. The only thing I'll usually mix Prince with is Prince proteges or "Minneapolis Sound" artists.

I also like other artists (but not as much as I heart Prince).
I have about 300 CD's, half of that is from Prince.
Prince music is played about 90% of the time. headbang music

I never mix Prince with other artists, it just doesn't feel right. no no no!

I isolate Prince's music on a daily basis. I'll try and listen to a few other artist that are similiarly great lyricist, but outside of that I need the funk!

I don't even keep my Prince music with any other music, he's got a seperate case to himself. Nothing compares to him.

Yeah I have my own Prince tower then there's everyone else. It's a sickness really. One day I'm gonna organize it chronologically, but I have tapes separated like that too. He's the only artist that I have a collection of...

I go on Prince tangents. I'll listen to his stuff non stop for a day or two (and associated artists) then I won't listen to his stuff for weeks. I do this with most of my favorite artists. Different music for different moods. Since I like a lot of other kinds of music besides pop and R&B, I cannot imagine a steady diet of only Prince (as good as he used to be).

I can into long "Prince funks" Where i'll listen to nothing but Prince for a week. Then i listen to other artist for maybe like 5-6 days then another Prince week. It's almost sad, lol. When i leave the house with out evening thinking i'll pick up a prince album to listen to in tha car. It's just 2nd nature to me, but then again since i drive a purple car with a huge symbol decale on the back window, with also another Prince decal of his face and name on the back, When someone drives by and see's me they excpect to hear me blasting Prince. I also bought a 30GB i pod, excluvily for my Prince collection and between, Studio albums, a few associated artists albums, and some boots. It's over 1,800 Prince songs. So as he say's it gonna get you staisfied real soon!

Yes. Prince has his own wall for videos/tour programs/rare cds/rare cassettes/and so much more. All of the catalog cds are intergrated with the other artists, but he has a whole shelf to himself (because he has so much music).

Prince is the only artist with his own playlist on my iPod...I tried mixing some of his stuff on my "Sleep" playlist and I just end up skipping it...which doesn't help me get to sleep at all...I don't know...I guess it'sjust an all or nothing kind of thing..

I also isolate him completely. I might place 200 mp3s on shuffle, but they are either all Prince or have no Prince. His music covers too many genres to really throw into a mix.

I started doing it without realizing it. My wife pretty much knows if she gets in the car and a Prince song is on, most likely he's what we'll be listening to for awhile - which usually illicits an "Oh brother !" from her. Needless to say, this marriage is hanging by a thread ...

I'll do both from time to time. Sometimes i'll listen to him and do it so much I burn out on him and have to take a break. Sometimes i'll mix in a track or two of something else when i'm in a music phase.
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I wasn't sure what this question was going for, but now I think I get it. I do isolate him and have for 25 years--since the fever hit. CDs are in a realm of their own. In my mind and heart, his music lives separatly, He sort of isolates himself, too though. And I also go on severe Prince binges where I get sort of sick in the head about him and listen to him straight for days. I have really been trying to not do that so much. I don't know what it is about him, his music, his being, sort of sucks me in.
