Rumour or Fact? Please help.... There have been some rumours I've heard about Prince...and wonder if any of you have heard the same. If so, could you please confirm if they are true or not... Thanks... #1. Madonna and Bruce Springsteen got up on stage w/ Prince to do "Purple Rain" back in 84. and a video tape has been circulating. (if so, please post where it is available

People that are to be working w/ Prince ...Sheena Easton (again)...Santana,Mel B.(Scary Spice),Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez (yes..J-Lo) #3.Prince's shortest haircut ever...we're talking almost skin head!! (please post the shortest haircut picture u have of Prince.) #4. Prince to release a Guitar only duet album with other guitar players (Lenny Kravitz,Susanna Hoffs,Jennifer Batten, etc..) The only thing I can verify is that Prince has worked with Mel B. (Scary Spice). I think that was over a year ago though but read she's getting ready to release her cd, which would prolly contain some of that output... | |

Scary Spice interviewed Prince on the Beautiful Strange video, released in 1998. She mentioned briefly going onto his label, but I think "working" with Prince began and ended with the interview. Well, around the release of the "I Hate U"-Single, he got a Symbol-Tattoo on his skull (You can see it on the cover of the single, I think. I´m pretty sure is a real tattoo (it was all over the media at the time), and obviously, they had to shave of his hair to do that. this one is true, although i haven never seen videos. anywhere prince played in '84, he was drawing major media attention. actually i think the show you are referring to is from '85 at the forum in LA. lots of celebrities, lots of guests on stage during encores. check out some old reviews of those shows (see per nilson's book DMSR) to verify that bruce and madonna were onstage with prince. also, did you know that in '86, sting and ron wood (from the stones) jammed to miss you with prince? true too. Hm, I stand corrected. I did my research, according to "Prince - A Documantery" (First Edition), Bruce and Madonna guest onstage at the February 23 concert during the closing "Baby I'm A Star" and "Purple Rain". Madonna danced with a tamborine, while Bruce plugged in a guitar and played right next to Wendy. If there is a live video of any of the Purple Rain LA shows, then, there you go. There is a live recording of the show. I'm sure as a boo...as a rec...uh, on tradable recordable media...of sorts...uh, I don't know where you can find that though...ehem. | |
