Guitar live kicks butt! Say what you like about this track, played live it was absolutely amazing. Of all the post-Sign o the Times tracks that were played last night it was far and away the best received. Definitely a classic in the making. I'm testing postive 4 the funk

Please tell me the Twinz don't play their legs. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

it's fun live, i agree. it's not so much that it's a great song, but it's another excuse for prince to show off on guitar, and who doesn't like that?

In many ways, with a title like that, it's the definitive excuse to show off on guitar. And i agree, you would have to be insane not to like that. I'm testing postive 4 the funk

I got my butt kicked by a live guitar once.
However, in my defense, I should point out that I first approached the whole situation thinking that the damn thing was dead already. Ah well, live & learn.

the band did lose time half way through the song last night though. unless it was a delay in the sound being played. Whatever reason, it was barely noticable and it seemed like P was aware of it and pulled it back. It did sound great live though.. if only the sound was good last night it would have destroyed the place even more. Much of his guitar playing was quite hard to hear as the overall sound was very bass dominated.

Much of his newer material came over really well. Bizarrely i think that 'get on the boat' was arguably one of the best performance of the night! i never dreamed i would ever say that.
