Prince: Top of his game I just received a copy of "4 those of you on valium", which was a rehearsal of the "SOTT" tour and I tend to think with that tour he was on the top of his game, IMHO. I mean that show, the actual movie, his famous aftershow, small club, he seemd to have a lot of fun with the band and the audience. I always thought it was great how Prince incorporated horns into his music. It was really nice to see how he used them again during the ONA shows. Candy is awesome. Just wanted to share my thoughts. I agree. '87/'88 is his peak. In terms of live performance he might have even topped hiself with this current band. I've never seen him as good as Celebration night 5.

Agreed! I still love his effervescing confidence in 1980-82, but he was fully inspired in 87-88. Celebration night 5 was probably the best concert I've ever seen.
