Have U ever caught yourself playing a Prince CD or Prince CD's over & over & over?
Like, you want 2 take it out of the CD player but U wind up listening 2 the damn CD again?
Even though you know every guitar riff,high note,low note and piano riff that's on it!
I have stayed up until 3:00 in the damn morning listening 2 Prince & I have classes @ 7:30 AM...
Red eyes N class listening 2 Prince is worth it tho!
& My classmates know what's up, Im the "Prince chic".

The CD's I do this with is:
..."Damn U" usually is the song
NewPowerSoul..."The One" is usually the song
Old Friends 4 Sale...ALL of the songs R listened 2!!
Parade..."New Position" "UTCM" "SISIA" & ""
&
Rave...the whole damn album (shit, I LIKE RAVE!!)
Im sure there's more I tend 2 just leave on repeat but 2 sleepy 2 finish writing them!

Its good to listen to fast Prince songs while studying for classes it helps me focus and makes me get more into the subject. Yes, I tend to listen to a a Prince album for at lease one week in my cd player, and then which to another one for the next following week.

I ripped all my Prince cd's to my computer.. Now I just have 2 push play once, and listen 2 him for like weeks, with the computer mixing song after song after song..

I find myself doing it only with CD's I make.

But specific Prince songs get this treatment. Pink Cashmere is one. Open Book another. and Nothing Compares 2 U. and Empty Room.

Every year, the day after Christmas, I used to put Another Lonely Christmas, My Computer, and There Is Lonely on repeat all day long.

Just the other day,I found myself listening to the song "Dionne" over and over and over and over.That has always been my favorite song on 'The Truth' CD.I must have played it like 30 times that day!!

The ONA download from NPGMC used to be on repeat for hours...

TRC, repeat...

All the stuff on my WinAmp can keep me up @ night, head bobbing, knowing I got things to do in the am...

I used to do marathons from For You - whatever was most current. Not much time for that now, but it's hard not to get caught up w/ his music. Trapped in it - you can't get out & you don't want to...

My most recent problem with this has been from TRC.

I have it taped to listen to in my car, and I'll put it in and listen to The Rainbow Children and Muse 2 The Pharoah and rewind and do it over and over again...

Oh yeah, in Muse, I'll typically rewind his spoken word part 2 or 3xs per listen too...

I think I did this when the Black Album was re-issued.

It was so nice because the only copy I had ever owned before was like a 1000th generation cassette tape and had broke years before the name change.

I was so happy to finally figure out some of the lyrics and to hear it in good quality.

And the tape originally cut out 30 seconds into Rock Hard. Cool to have heard the rest of the song.
