Oh, we used to raise hell on that subject. We raised so much hell, we completely took over a thread that wasn't even about Rick James.

Since 2007 is the first time in ten years that both Prince and Rick had an album out at the same time, I'm sure Skywalker would love my opinion on who won the vs. battle this year. This year, Prince pulled his dick out and pissed all over Rick's new album. Prince only had one sellout radio friendly shit hop sounding track this year. Rick had an entire album of the shit.

Right now there is about 4 Million people that have the PE album. So that give prince a better chance to get these people to see him LIVE, where is where prince makes his true money!

He has made money advance from the record label, the uk news paper & now his touring.

Nothing is Poor when you can perform live and tour.

Bull - I never once said anything about "he should do nothing" or anything else you said above. My point was...Prince says something one year and the next says something different. When his albums are doing bad he makes it clear that he doesn't care about the charts, doestn't care about this or that. He wanted Emacipation and Rave to do well on the charts. He blamed WB when his albums didn't do well. So he does care and that is my point. He posted that 3121 went #1. He has all his gold and plat. records hanging every where in PP. All of his tropys are displayed. ALL of this is cool and they should be. I want his stuff to go #1 and I want the brotha to win every award out there and I am sure he does to. He wants to be loved like the rest of us and he wants his music to be loved as well. Prince would be jumping for joy and talking about it if PE sould 500,000 copies its first week. The brotha would be VERY happy...a little bit more then he is when it only sells 92,000 copies. I will admit that with PE he might not care to much because he isn't doing to much hype for it.


Poor records sales = poor # on charts
Poor # on charts = less people hearing you
less people hearing = less people caring
less people caring = less people attending shows (lovesexy era)
less people attendind shows = less money in the pocket

His shows are cool now and I think that is why he is just milking it because if this was 5 years ago (or a month before the '04 Grammys) Prince wouldn't be having this much going on.

What sucks is the Musicology tour was so great but it made people go out and by "the best of" instead of Musicology...that ain't fare. I really want the brothat to come out with joint that is going to sell crazy just on its own...like D&P did. It just caught fire and it was on.
