What is the deal on "Wally" so called this song was supposed 2 be about his relationship with Susannah and he recorded a heartbreaking song, then re-recorded it. Someone said he erased it because he didnt want no one 2 hear him cry, is this tru?

I bet there isn't a fan, who's read 'D.M.S.R.', that doesn't want to hear 'Wally'.
Prince's engineer - either Susan Rogers or Peggy Mac - said it was the most honest, moving performance she had ever heard. Can you imagine being the person who has to erase that??!

I read the same thing. I really want to hear this song.

Can you imagine Prince telling the engineer to erase the whole song and the engineer not wanting to do it.

I guess he didn't want another OF4S situation.

ONLY Prince could do such a thing: to record something of such beauty, almost as a folly, then erase it completely.
How unbelievable is that? To have so much faith in your abilities that - despite being so beautiful - you're willing to scrap it, and write something else.

I always wanted to hear his version of "Whistlin' Kenny", too. I thought that was a classic tune that Margie Cox didn't really do much for.
