planet earth missing something

i've heard it over and over and i think most of the songs are lacking strong melody,i think he's trying to get away from funk on this one which is cool.but he missed. I cant believe prince missed on this on. He could have gone more i wish u heaven style or play in the sunshine or paisley park,anyone get where im comming from. its nothing that stand out but the lion of judah.sounds almost like he is forcing this style. I love when he gets away from funk sometimes,but this one is lacking something.Maybe take some band members songs and do his thing to them.I still feel prince has no comptetion, so his music is more going thru the motions.someone has to challenge him for us to get the real prince.
