The Rainbow Children. Though neither would be in my top 1000 albums.

I prefer Come because it's an album that's sexually provocative and dark at the same time and it doesn't have any of that idiosyncratic & preachy JW talk that The Rainbow Children has.

"COME! You should pick that, baby!"

".....No more will I cry." No, but seriously, I've only heard "Come" (Which I am in love with.), although I have both. I don't know why but, just looking at the lyrics from the handbooklet that came with the packaging is a bit intimidating to me ("AND", I have an open mind to all sorts of viewpoints, liberal or conservative. However, I don't know if I could honestly listen to every tidbit, sadly). "The Rainbow Children" gets "SO" much love from "A LOT" of "Prince Fans". But, anything other than the music (Which I am pretty confident in that aspect as being fulfilled), is kind of disdaining.

With no talks and only music I would like TRC almost as much as SOTT.
Still I prefer TRC.
Come has always left me that sensation of "completed too fast"

Yea, because Come was the one first of many "contractual oligation" recordings he released at Warners before leaving to do his own thang. Some of the tracks were already written during the 1991- 1992 Love Symbol sessions and most of them were already recorded. All I know, I like it.

There's a telluric gap between those two !

As already said, come is an unfinished album, made of copy and paste...

And few musicianship here.

Sexual content it's true, but no real fun.

TRC is musically speaking one of his best, and forgetting it's prince, remains a very interesting piece of work !

Well I'm not fond of JW things but if U can take it as a travel through mythology, why not ?

I vote for TRC !

I fully submit 100%! It is one of the most organic and "real" sounding productions he has ever done. I guess that's what really grabbed me about the album when I first heard it. JW and controversial pro-black agenda lingo is what really ruins it for me.
