PRINCE: Can't win for losing with some of you folks WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PPL EXPECT THE GUY TO MAKE?!!!!! Seriously he's made the same type of music his entire career except for a few ambitious projects thrown in that you people still complained about. I mean are you expecting him to release the holy grail of sound this side of Abbey Road or A Wizard/ A True Star? Seriously Dirty Mind is simplistic but it's really good. That's the point it's not significant;y that much better than 3121 all things being equal. Emotionally I think people put it on a pedestal (me included). If Prince released a section of music similar to the chant in Controversy I wonder how people would react...On second thought that may be the difference he's not as bold as he use to be, doesn't take as much chances so I guess I nullified my own thread in my opening post. | |
