when do you think we'll see a behind the music show on prince?....i'm sure they've tried to do one already and he declined...(probably because they all give artist's that "has been" quality)...but something tells me we'll see one eventually...

who knows....it may even be sooner than later....seeing as he's making alot of moves recently that most fans wouldn't expect [perfume...vegas]

P.S=> I'd love to see an ultimate album show on SOTT (on all prince albums really, but i know Sign would be the one chosen)

Prince will never let any sort of Behind the music story about him ever see the light of day-you can't blame him He's still got alot of music to make- ya Prince.

and VH1 "wanted" to do one..
but without Prince, it wasn't going to happen...

and so, they tried to make a "Fan Club" episode about Prince.....
and guess what? his fanbase was so low at that point, only THREE PEOPLE with decent collections responded!

so yeah, no "Prince Fan Club" episode either

With all of the confidentiality agreements he has his people sign, everything would come out as cryptic.

About two years ago, XXL (or maybe King Magazine) did a 20th anniversary story on Purple Rain. Prince declined comment and the only people they did get for the intervieew was some of the minor players. Lousy Journalism, so I don't think VH1 has a chance.

Ok if P is caught lipsynching and has to give back his grammys he will get a Behind The Music show. Or maybe if he kidnaps a groupie and burns her with a crackpipe... Or maybe if he gets a Saturday morning cartoon and then goes bankrupt... Or maybe if he accidently overdoses on heroin and then gets revived at a local hospital... Or maybe if he lets one of his lovers physically abuse him for years and then escapes... Or maybe if he crashes his car while driving drunk killing one of his bandmembers... Certainly u get the picture I'm painting by now... Behind The Music is an ode to the fact that everybody loves losers.

Prince of Paisley Park is basically a Behind the Music. Watch that.

I think Prince has declined to do a BTS. His reason was (and I paraphrase) he is still currently active in the music world so there is no need to document his musical past as if that's all there is to his story. (Or something to that effect)

It was Prince night on VH1...maybe VH1 classic last night. They played PR and The Prince of Paisley Park back to back twice.

VH1 doesn't need Prince's permission to do a Behind the Music, but they do need someone to talk, whether it be Prince himself (never) or major players in the Prince story for the episode to be interesting. I don't really see this happening. I used to be hooked on Behind the Music.

It would probably be the most watched/anticipated Behind The Music special since The Rick James story/Notorious Big special.

VH1 would only do it if they found some controversy to dig up - it can't be just some perfect, he's a genious, everything is great, he's the man, blah, blah...they gotta have stuff in his past, talk about Vanity, Appolonia, his womanizing, him being controlling, the rumors surronding his sexuality, they would have to bring all that shit up.

The show would have to be at least two hours long. How long was Madonna's?

He would never never do this. If they can... they would put together one with some ex-band members of his. I doubt that would happen though. My guess is if you worked with him you had to sign something that probably will keep you from doing a show like that. That is why to this day you have not heard any ex-band member(s) dish some real dirt about him. They always seem to sugar coat their experience with him. He taught me things, he works you hard, i learned a lot from him. Come On! i am sure their were some bad experiences you will never hear about.
