He'll have it on lockdown still.  In a legal statement regarding said music, it will be bestowed upon an artist who he has already met with that he feels is worthy of using the music.
Or... Michael Jackson will buy it. And then we'll all die a horrid audio death upon hearing what he does with it. | |

If he wants it to be released at all, I can see him releasing it during his retirement as part of his pension plan.
I can't say I'm a fan of all these posthumous CD releases you see. Nearly always they have substandard stuff that the artist knew wasn't good enough to release in his/her lifetime. And the artist derives no benefit from those releases either. There's a fine line between curating an artist's legacy and living off scraps of genius. Surprised nobody's suggested he might leave the rights to the church if he has no natural heir when his time comes. Wouldn't it be great if he left it all to us? Transferred his copyright into the public domain so his work could go anywhere and everywhere, legally. After giving away Planet Earth (UK) and Musicology (US), anything's possible..? | |

I agree I think the vault is just big hype, he may have hundreds of bits and pieces of music but I doubt that he has 1000s and 1000s of completed unreleased songs. and knowing P he will probably destroy them all before he dies just so no one else can fuck with them. He probably has some sort of micro chip implanted in his body that monitors his body temperature. When is body heat falls below say 87 degrees Paisley Park will Implode. well we know this:
He has about 2000+ Songs He has made unreleased music videos for songs we never heard I think: Prince will release 10 songs albums every year (every other year). Which some will have music videos for! So that is over 200 Years of Unreleased Music & New Albums. Our Grand Kids Grand Kids will be hearing new Prince music | |
