good album IMO. not sure why its so hated on. i like a lot of the sounds he used. title track is a nice little experiment. i actually like Undisputed. (HUGE fan of Chuck D.), some profound lyrics there. but i LOOOOOVE, Greatest Romance, slept on gem for sure.
'an updated version of 7', hhmmmm, never thought about that.

'an updated version of 7', hhmmmm, never thought about that. I love Chuck too! Overall I think Rave is a fantastic album. The only song I'm not too terribly keen on is Baby Knows. It certainly isn't a bad song, but the rest of the album is pretty damn tight. It's loaded with potential hits. ..... Just say "NO" to cow mucus consumption!

I really do enjoy the song "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold."
As I've said before on this forum, I was in a psych ward when "Rave" hit stores. I bought it at Target while on a weekend pass. I LOVED it. Of course, I was on four pyshcotropics at the time, one of which is now off the market. "She made me glad to be a man"

2nd best album of the 1990's after TGE
Use the extended versions and include Beautiful Strange you have an even better album. This album seems hated by some but I remeber it getting some prety good reviews.

Anyway Rave is jampacked with quality, it and Newpowersoul are due re-evaluation. Title track, Silly Game, Tangerine, Greatest Romance, Love U But Don't Trust U, Man O War... Glug, glug like a mug

When it came out I was in love with it (well, not the cover art, good lawd!) but I liked pretty much everythign about it. Now that the fog has cleared, I still enjoy "Baby Knows," "I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore," "Man O War," and "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold," but what was I thinking groovin' to that rap within "The Sun, The Moon, and Stars"? (Dude, I even played the heck out of "Every Day Is A Winding Road" back then. Zyprexa, you bitch!) "She made me glad to be a man"
