1. It's been 4 days since the album came out. I don't think something can be declared a "classic" until at least 7 days have passed.

2. Who are you (e.g. your credentials) to deem what constitutes "classic"?

Future Baby Momma - Great song, Yes....may grow legs to become a classic, but not instantly.

All The Midnights In The World - Oh Boy!!! THAT'S my second favorite JAM on the CD Way too short.

Lion of Judah will never be classic unless he plays it live and gets it on the airwaves. Part of being a classic is the way it works its way into popular culture. You hear it when you go out, there's a video you see of it when you change the channel, he plays awesome live versions of it.

I agree that there are instant classics, however I disagree with your picks...

1) Guitar
2) Mr. Goodnight
3) Chelsea Rogers

And three different songs there could not be...that's the beauty of it all! A rock tune with a sense of humor, a sexy-ass soul creamer, and a disco/funk classic. Man, he's good!

And the rest is growing on me...quickly.

My respect for the artist is...there are no words...except to say that he's today's Mozart (misunderstood, ahead of his time, genius)...

Was lucky enough to see him at 3121 in Vegas twice...I hope it's not the last time. Both times were really special.

People through out the term classic song, like the word diva. It takes a little more for a song to be a classic than by just the fact that it sounds good.

These are some classics by prince "purple rain"; "Adore"; "Kiss", "Insatiable", "PoP Life"; "Uptown"; "Head"; "Do me Baby". You mean to tell me Future Baby Mama compares to "Do me Baby" or "Adore", get real.

There has not been a song on his last four or five ablums, that could be considered a classic. There have been some very good songs, but none that I would consider putting in the Hall of Fame of classics.

Some honorable-mention would be "Call my name"; "Musicology"; "Fury"; "Greatest Romance thats ever been sold" and that is stretching it for honorable mention

People have different opinions of "a classic", any way. No need to be so harsh about the "perishing in hell" thing.

Guitar would probably be the classic (keyword: PROBABLY, I'm not saying I know for sure or anything) but it seems to be the single that's going to get a lot of listeners, since it seems to be a lot of people's favorite already.
