Understand this: Prince has people lurking here and other places (I'm assuming OkayPlayer.com as well). His people on The Net have seen this guy's post regarding Mr. Nelson. He's basically spouting garbage about Prince so bad that it makes you wonder why (now) he's saying that he's a fan (in defense). It's a "get-back". I'm sure his people have found several other people linking and sharing, but he nabs this guy. Again. I you are honest, and have read this guy's diatribes about Mr. Nelson (even before Jehovah, Larry, Internet Lawsuits, etc.), you know he was due for a check-up. He's viscous as hell on OKplayer. How can he diss Prince. How can he label Prince a "has-been" and crazy, then link boots to his latest material?!! D'Angelo, Me'Shell ?uest, Bilal are all better than him? He needs to shut-up and retire? Oh by the way, I have a friend who has some "ONA Boots" (a friend who may actually be himself on another website). Living in a Studio Apartment without a job with (probably DSL or Cable) Internet access isn't that bad of a lifestyle. I can see how he could survive off of boots. Again, Prince doesn't seem to care too much about sharing, and trading because he's been connected with Napster before. He checked this guy because of his arrogance. Of course, Prince isn't going to bury this guy. He'll probably waste more money than he'll ever gain in return. If you're off The Bandwagon (as a fan), get off "The Gravy-Train". I'm not going over my post again. You know your game. The man cannot link or boot Prince's new material, and then have a total resentful view of Prince [new life, material, etc.]. Some of the people who disagree with my observation are hipocrites! You people would flip someone off in traffic! Have you ever sought to fight someone who was spouting negative garbage, and maybe some lies about you? This type of personal conflict happens all of the time in school, in the workplace, and in the world. Would you allow someone who was always an "irrational hater" of your business to profit off of it! This is Hipocrisy!This guy wasn't booting "Triple Threat-1983". You cannot ask Prince (just because he is Prince) "to turn the other cheek" when you and Mr.FreeMyHeart do not. I think that Prince has done enough to expose this guy. You're still missing the point. It's perfectly legal to criticize a public figure. Getting bad press isn't grounds for a lawsuit. The bootlegging issue is another matter. But you seem to be basing your entire justification for Prince taking him to court because he said that Prince isn't good anymore. That's ridiculous. To quote Dr. Phil, "GET REAL!" or, if you will "That dog don't hunt!" I think that Prince has done enough to expose this guy. I think it's time to leave him alone.

ONE MORE TIME! He is not profitting on them at all. He's not doing it for money. Matthew could very easily have profitted from this, having lost his job after September 11, 2001. But he didn't. He eats ramen for fucks sake! He was simply sharing a link to songs BOOTLEGGED BY SOMEONE ELSE and HOSTED BY ANOTHER PERSON/INTERNET PROVIDER. He did not record the bootleg. He did not manufacture the bootleg. He did not sell the bootleg. He didn't even put the damn bootleg on his own site. He made no money from the bootleg. Why is Prince going after matthew instead of after the actual bootleggers? I'll tell you why, it's just as you say, he found matthew saying negative things about Prince and decided to get back at him. Prince fans have been through this before in 1997 and 98 and 99, when any websites that didn't step in line and join Prince's efforts to police the rhetoric about him on the Internet got served legal notice to shut down or remove his name from their sites. And that is complete bullshit. That you think saying bad things about Prince should be the basis for a lawsuit against someone is absurd. Plus they'd come to Seattle and talk to him.
