where are the daily sales figures for PE (like 3121)?

I remember that just after 3121 was released, someone used to post the daily sales figures for the album from some website (I think it was from hitsdoubledaily.com). However we see no post regarding the sales for PE, what's up ? Has the website stopped articulating figures or what ??

I posted it yesterday on another thread. Doesn`t look too good, but it will probably go to # 1...

Article from Hitsdailydouble:
http://www.hitsdailydoubl...ormill.cgi

CALLING PLANET EARTH: The Artist Still Known as Prince is on target to sell approximately 100k of his new album, Planet Earth, and first for Columbia, which is kinda dwarfed by the 2.8 million he gave away a couple of weekends ago in the U.K. with copies of the Sunday Mail. Strangely, he hasn’t made it available on iTunes, but the single, “Guitar,” is available as a download on Verizon. That will put him into a head-to-head battle with UTV/UMe’s Now 25 in its second week and Disney’s Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack. Among the other chart newcomers, Island’s Canadian rockers Sum 41 look to be in the 35-40k range for their new album, Underclass Hero, while Billy Ray Cyrus (or Daddy Montana) could do an impressive 20k for his Buena Vista bow. Marc Anthony’s Sony Norte soundtrack for the movie El Cantante, in which he stars with wife Jennifer Lopez, appears to be headed for 20-25k, while Epic’s Yung Berg EP should sell 15k, give or take. Overall, the market was down slightly more than 2% vs. last week, down almost 9% from same week last year and now down under 15% year-to-date. You may now return to perusing Dan’s Papers while lounging in your Hamptons beach house. (7/25p)

The actual daily figures will come out next week, Tuesday, I think...this article is just an estimate after a day and a half so take it for what it's worth. The 2.8 million figure has nothing to do with the 100 K...that was a giveaway that P was compensated for, not a number that should be compared to actual sales as the article tries to do.

Thats what I was looking at 100k can't be a real figure. If so thats really putrid. He should be able to sell more than that by pressing them himself and selling them out of the back of his car!

It´s only estimated after one day of sales.
But as a regular reader i can say they are pretty good with their
estimations.
But i was surprised to about this low number...
Hopefully he will sell more the rest of the week...

Its not really a low number for a week for Prince or alot of artists that have been around. I mean Rainbow Children did between 150-200,000 or so overall in the states, with no prmotion and Prince just getting the cd instores himself. So i would guess 100,000 is a pretty safe bet, maybe number one but who knows, does it really matter?

its not low considering the lack of a video or real promotion

Musicology ... the "Musicology" video was played heavily on MTV, VH1, BET..etc weeks before it came out....sold about 170,000 in week 1

3121 - Black Sweat - heavily played video on all major video outlets. plus Te Amo got some attention on Vh1....sold about 180,000 in week 1

Planet Earth - no videos...no real buzz besides a verizon commercial and the UK story...100,000 sounds about right

Serena

Does anyone know if these numbers include Amazon or other online sales or is it just storefront retailers?

People think just because its Sony that there has to be some kind of promotion going on, but really this time around and even with Musicology and 3121, Prince is still doing his own promo, true he made a few videos and lots of appearances for Musicology and 3121, but Sony and Universal didnt exactly go nuts with Promo and radio prmotion and stuff like that. His deal is mainly just a distribution deal, they dont get him to make videos, thats coming out of his own pocket, and as far as tv appearances, well this time around it seems the bulk of it will be done in the UK for Planet Earth with a tour similar to Musicology in the USA, i dont know if Prince plans to do anything promo wise for Plaent Earth in the states, possibly after the UK tour, possibly not, u never know, he could announce a US tour tomorrow, or dates in major cities like NYC and LA.

He still needs a full video for guitar as much press or airplay as that verizion commercial has gotten.
