Caution: Planet Earth Cover is Cheap! So I bought my copy of Planet Earth at lunch and loved finally having it and than went back to work and left the CD in the car.
When I left work I found the CD cover peeling away both at the top anmd bottom! Obviously this was from the sun hitting it but come on I was in my office for maybe 3 hours tops! A brand new CD and its already trashed - come on Prince seriously (ok maybe Sony) this cheap-ass cover should not be peeling away this quickly! 
Love the design but the cheapness of it makes me very disappointed. I think this is going to be a common theme for people in the next few weeks... The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Never ever leave cds, cassette tapes, or bought vinyl inside a hot vehicle. They get ruined.
Lesson learned for you I guess. Try using a cd visor next time. You won't need to bring cd cases, leave them at home. Then you can carry it with you.

I was attacked by a grizzly on my way home from Best Buy, luckily my Planet Earth lenticular cover was sturdy enough to kill it, then I used the prisim like effect to start a fire and dry the PE carved bear meat into jerky. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

It wasn't the CD cover doofus, it was the heat. Lucky u it wasn't a pup that u left in ur car or he'd b dead already from heat exhaustion. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

also I know it was the sun people (duh) but I am saying because the cover was cheaply applied this is going to be a problem for other people too under other conditions! p.s. I am taking it back today to exchange for a new one and I wont leave it in my car but the point is I should be able to and not worry about it! Most places I know of wouldn't exchange a CD under those conditions. It's not that the CD or packaging was faulty, it was 'operator error'. If you drop a regular jewel case and crack it, would you expect them to exchange that also? It's special packaging and I wouldn't expect it to take the summer heat in a car. Can you glue it back on or did it warp? | |

Oh my God, I can't believe this. This is ENTIRELY that little bastard's fault. There's enough terrible shit going on in the world and in my life, but the cover coming off after leaving it in a hot ass car? My friend, that takes the cake. I'm DONE with Prince. See, if Prince and Sony had gotten together and sold this cd with UV protection and an travel size bottle of sunblock, this travesty would have never occurred. | |
