oh yeah, i buy without a second's hesitation. I think it's because I am utterly fascinated with and inspired by the life and talent of Prince. He won me over many moons ago- no need to make another sales pitch- I'm hooked. Hey- I live in South Africa and I'm flying over to the UK to see 4 shows- that's gotta count for some big fan points. curious- anyone else from SA here going over?

It's a must to have it... I feel guilty if I don't get it.

I used to make sure I bought it on the first day out...

But now due to life, wife , kids, and real world obligations, I have to settle for first WEEK out.. but I have my PE already..

Been a fan for a long time and I've always bought cds the week they were released.

Yesterday I remember seeing a whole side of a CD rack with PE being displayed.
Five or six rows long, three CDs across and the way the light hit the hologram all the symbols were showing, it was very cool. The CD cover is probably the best one Prince has come up with since SOTT.

Maybe PE is more a album than a Prince album.

Without a doubt I purchase a Prince album regardless of the review, and of course it has to be the day it comes out. Honestly when it comes to Prince most critics aren't usually feeling him anyway so there is really no point to listening to the reviews. Now if the reviews happen to be good then it definitely raises my curiosity. But lets be honest the critics probably don't listen and review Prince albums the way most people on the ORG do. It's kinda like my brother says: "When a Prince album comes out it is like an event all in itself." Whether the event turns out good or bad it doesn't really matter. So no matter what Prince puts out I will continue to take off work early buy the album, grab a six pack and conduct my own private listening party.

I always buy Prince albums regardless of any bad reviews i read or hear. I am still waiting for PE. I ordered it Monday from Circuit City.I have been buying any album he puts out since Purple Rain.

Anyways, of course I had to purchase my copy of Planet Earth the same day it was released. I think I've listened to it about 6 or 7 times now. As soon as I stepped out of the store I opened the packaging to find out if a lyric booklet was included. Once I saw there wasn't one I went directly to the library and printed a very nice laser copy of it. Rating:

my disc from Amazon came in today...
I had absolutely no excitement to run to the store ON release date ect.
I kinda felt like this one I had to buy it Just to buy it.
I think hearing the leaks, ect, really ruined my anticipation....doubled witht he fact, this this release isn't one of my favorites.

So I've decided for the next release....no leaks, no previews,,...none of that for me....

Thanks to MSN I got to hear it for about a week before I got it. I did skip out of work yesterday to head over to Target and catch the sale price.

Got it on sale at Target. On Sunday, it will go to regular price. $10 is a good deal for me.
